Big Parade blitzed his rivals and broke a course record in a brilliant return to racing at Kembla Grange on Saturday.
Trainer Mark Newnham declared Big Parade a “more complete racehorse” after a dominant all-the-way win in the Ranvet Handicap (1200m).
Even jockey Josh Parr senses Big Parade is more capable of mixing it at the elite level during the spring carnival.
“So pleased with that but I tell you what Mark, that is not even the best of him,’’ Parr told Newnham immediately after the race.
“I don’t really like him here at all, the big open spaces, he was looking around at everything.
“But he is a much better horse now he has been gelded. You will see the best of him this spring.’’
