Andrew Webster locked in long-term with One New Zealand Warriors

One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster has had his contract extended by three years to the end of the 2028 NRL season.

The deal means the 41-year-old 2023 Dally M Coach of the Year is now set to equal the longest coaching tenure in the club’s history of six seasons.

Previously an assistant coach with the One New Zealand Warriors in 2015-2016, Webster guided the club to the NRL finals for the first time since 2018 and the first preliminary final since 2011.

“Andrew has confirmed to us that he’s the right fit for our club and his skills as a coach are what we need to cement our long-term development through our pathways,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.

“He did an extremely good job this season and we have every confidence that he’ll continue to grow into the role.
