American Will Zalatoris is the surprise leader as the action gets back underway in the third round of the PGA Championship on Sunday [AEST].
Zalatoris hit a bogey-free five-under-par 65 to take a one-stroke lead after Saturday’s second round while two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson matched a course record to sit in fourth.
Mito Pereira joins Zalatoris near the summit, with neither boasting a main tour victory — although that could change this weekend.
2017 PGA winner Justin Thomas is in fourth, one stroke ahead of Rory McIlroy, while Cam Smith is Australia’s best hope after an even-par second round, sitting in a tie for tenth.
