Aussie Cameron Smith suffered a massive meltdown after forcing the Northern Trust into a playoff hole as his hopes of landing the $20m FedEx Cup took a dent against Tony Finau after a fantastic final round.
The duo finished on -20 after a thrilling final round which was delayed 24 hours due to torrential weather conditions in New York, with Smith producing an excellent 67, including a back nine of 31 to force the playoff hole.
And after Finau drove his tee shot straight down the middle, Smith sent his out of bounds, before firing his third shot into the bunker to all but hand the American the win.
