GWS superstar Toby Greene has been slapped with a two-game ban for an errant high elbow that left Patrick Dangerfield unable to speak and in hospital overnight.
Match Review Officer Michael Christian graded the incident as careless conduct, high contact and high impact.
The Giants indicated immediately they would challenge the ban at the tribunal.

“We firmly believe this was a football action and doesn’t warrant a suspension,” Giants football boss Jason McCartney said.
“As such, we will challenge the initial ruling at the tribunal.”
Earlier in the day, Greene was asked about the prospects of copping a suspension on 3AW.
“I think it was just a football incident,” Greene said.
“Something I couldn’t really do much about.”
