The Giants were able to halve Greene’s striking ban at the Tribunal on Tuesday night, from two weeks to one week, after the impact grading of his elbow to the throat of Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield was brought down from high to medium.
However the Giants took their case to the Appeals Board, arguing an “error of law” was made in the way the jury came to its verdict.
