Matildas captain Sam Kerr has continued to be recognised for her on-field performances by being nominated for the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award.
The Chelsea star was one of five nominess chosen by a panel of current and former professionals, coaches and journalists along with Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona and Spain), Mary Earps (Manchester United and England), Alexandra Popp (VfL Wolfsburg and Germany) and Fridolina Rolfö (Barcelona and Sweden).

The winner, to be announced on November 28, will be decided by a public vote.
Kerr’s year included being part of a Matildas squad that reached the FIFA World Cup semi-finals and she also helped Chelsea win the English Super League title and the FA Cup.
