AFL legend Leigh Matthew has declared Lance Franklin is the “best player of the century” ahead of the Swans champion’s 350th game against St Kilda on Thursday night.
One of the most decorated players in the game’s history, the 34-year old is a two-time premiership player, eight-time All-Australian and four-time Coleman Medal winner.
And the 34-year old could tick off another milestone, with an opportunity to move past Doug Wade into outright fourth on the league’s all-time goalkicking list and become just the third player to boot 1100 majors, currently sitting on 1097.
