Carlton’s head of football Brad Lloyd has issued an update on contract talks involving Jack Silvagni.
The 25-year-old is out of contract this year and is yet to put pen to an extension that would see him remain a Blue.
Silvagni is seen as a heart and soul player who is so vital to the senior side due to his versatility in varying roles – a scenario that many believe should win him a new contract.
With that in mind, SEN Breakfast’s Kane Cornes asked Lloyd: “Why wouldn’t he be offered a contract yet?”
To which Lloyd replied: “With Jack, we’re talking to his manager pretty regularly.
“So both parties are pretty comfortable with where it’s at. We’re working through that.
“He’s one of three or four players that we’re talking to and working through where that sits.
“He’s a quality AFL player, he’s pretty valuable for us, but…
