Australia has been dealt with a couple of selection dilemmas ahead of the fourth Ashes Test in Manchester, but Monday’s training session at Old Trafford has provided some big clues.
David Warner and Mitchell Marsh were spotted fielding in a makeshift slips cordon overnight, while Cameron Green trained alongside the apparent reserves group.
Australia has not confirmed its starting XI for the Old Trafford Test, but early signs suggest Warner and Marsh have retained their spot in the side.
Warner is coming off a pair of low scores in the Headingley Test, with the veteran opener registering one century in 40 innings since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. He has not scored an away Test hundred in nearly six years.
