After days of speculation that Justin Langer has lost the dressing room, Cricket Australia have issued a statement backing their under-siege coach to take the team through to the Ashes.
Without guaranteeing Langer would see out his contract which runs through until mid-2022, CA said they hoped all stakeholders would come together and pointed to the difficulties associated with “bubble life” because of COVID-19.
