For a long time it looked like this wasn’t Jayson Tatum’s night.
But he’s not a four-time All-Star for nothing and when it mattered most, Tatum stood tall to lead the Boston Celtics to a 95-86 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
The win saw the Celtics tie up their Eastern Conference semi-finals series at 3-3, forcing a Game 7 back home in Boston.
Tatum just couldn’t find his shot, heading into the third quarter with just three points with the Sixers seemingly cruising to victory until he exploded for 16 in the fourth.
“I’m one of, humbly, one of the best basketball players in the world,” Tatum said post-game.
“It’s a long game… I trusted myself.”
