The two players, both 26, had previously met at the Vietnam F6 Futures where Nam emerged victorious. In the rematch, Nam initially showed promise, leading 5-2 before heavy rain interrupted the match. When play resumed, Nam won the first set 6-2, but the postponement affected his momentum. Yamasaki’s serves were not strong, but Nam’s performance suffered, leading to his defeat.
