A baby Barty is on the way.
The tennis world is in a spin after retired Australian star Ash Barty and husband Garry Kissick announced they’re expecting their first child this year.
Barty and Kissick uploaded a photo of their dog Origi lying next to a pair of baby shoes to their respective social media accounts on Friday night.

“2023 set to be the best year yet. We are so excited for our new adventure,” Barty’s Instagram caption read.
“Origi already the protective big sister.”
Kissick added: “Little Red, 2023.”
It was just under 12 months ago when Barty became the first Australian in 44 year’s to claim an Australian Open singles title. Seven weeks later, she shocked the sporting world and quit tennis.
