Wallabies, Andrew Blades joins Waratahs as General Manager, Darren Coleman, Super Rugby

Andrew Blades is returning to the Waratahs to try and turn around the mess the game finds itself in Australia.

As revealed by foxsports.com.au, Blades has joined the Waratahs as their new General Manager.

The former Wallaby will also help coach the scrum alongside new forwards coach Pauli Taumoepeau, who has been promoted after years working in the Shute Shield competition.

Blades has dedicated more time to rugby than most in the nation.

The 1999 World Cup-winner was an assistant coach under Eddie Jones at the Brumbies, before a quick one-year assistant role at the Wallabies in 2004.

He later returned to take up another Wallabies assistant coaching role under Robbie Deans and was retained by Ewen McKenzie.
