The Kirwan Grizzlies are on the cusp of Schoolgirls Cup history, and a rare chance to go one-on-one with the region’s NRLW squad could be the key to their success.
The Cowboys NRLW team hosted Kirwan last Wednesday night for an opposed session with their reserve players and Grizzlies coach Hannah Norford said her team had taken plenty of lessons out of the exchange.
The session came at a perfect time for the Grizzlies, who will face off against Mabel Park in Wednesday Queensland Schoolgirls Cup final. The match will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV.

“It was an excellent experience in itself, just for the girls in preparation for them as players, but also preparing us for a state final. We probably couldn’t ask for anyone better than them,” Norford said.
