After a week of turmoil, there has been some good news for South Sydney and their fans, with captain Cam Murray signing a massive extension which will keep him at the club until the end of 2028.
The Australia and New South Wales representative was under contract until the end of 2025 but has signed for an additional three years, worth about $950,000 a season.
Rugby Australia had shown interest in signing Murray, but this latest development will end those discussions.

It has been a tough week for the club, with Murray’s leadership ability questioned and rumours of a rift between he and Latrell Mitchell. He shot down those queries over the weekend.
