NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo says clubs are entitled to rest their players after a number of clubs opted to leave out their stars for the final round which has major implications on the minor premiership and the race for spots in the top eight.
The Storm have made a whopping 11 changes to the side that beat the Titans given they have already secured a top-four finish, while their opponents Brisbane have also left out some of their biggest stars.
“Each coach, team and club will set their strategies for who they are playing and the combinations,” Abdo said as teams look to play it safe following a week of carnage that saw some of the best players in the world go down injured.
