Weather, trees fall down on course, TV broadcast, location, second round

The second round of the Masters took a terrifying turn when three tall pine trees fell to the left of the 17th hole, with spectators sprinting away from the scene before second-round play was stopped due to stormy weather.

The trees crashed to the ground near spectators, but organisers said that there had been no injuries.

“Augusta National Golf Club can confirm that no injuries were reported from three trees that were blown over to the left of the No. 17 tee due to wind,” the club said in a statement.
