Greg Norman has labelled the official world golf rankings as “laughable” pointing to three alternative systems which would have as many as 10 players of his LIV stars in the world’s top 50.
A failed bid to have LIV events, which are only 54 holes, with limited fields and no cuts, was rejected last year and players on the LIV tour, including Aussie star Cam Smith, have experienced significant slides.
Smith has fallen to 44, putting his Olympic dream in serious jeopardy, with only three current LIV players, including reigning Masters and PGA champions John Rahm and Brooks Koepka, inside the top 50 on the official world golf rankings.
