Greg Norman has addressed his LIV Golf troops, declaring that neither he, nor the breakaway tour he helped create, are going anywhere.
Questions surround the future of LIV Golf after its backers, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), agreed a bombshell merger with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour on Tuesday.
The official press release strongly indicated that LIV Golf will have its place within a new “cohesive” golf landscape that caters to all three big tours and promotes team golf.
Doubt was later created, however, after PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said he “can’t see a scenario” in which LIV Golf continues to operate under its current format, suggesting that changes are afoot.
