Just one day after labelling world number one golfer Rory McIlroy an “immature little child”, rival Patrick Reed attempted to put their ugly feud to bed.
The saga began on the practice range on Monday when Reed – the 2018 Masters winner turned LIV star – went up to talk to the Northern Irishman, only to be ignored.
Reed then tossed an LIV-branded tee to the ground, which McIlroy said he didn’t see. The incident blew up and was labelled ‘teegate’ – before footage emerged which showed the supposedly angry throwing of a tee was about as innocuous as it gets.
