Aussie golf star Cameron Smith conceded missing out on the majors after switching to LIV Golf “would have been tough” but is glad the rebel group “kept the PGA Tour on their toes.”
Smith was one of several superstars on the PGA Tour to make the switch to the Saudi-backed competition last year, with the Queenslander signing on for an estimated $100 million.

His move took place not long after he’d won The Open at the famous St Andrews course in July, meaning he automatically qualified for all the majors for the next five years.
However, there was plenty of conjecture in the golf world as to whether the LIV players would be able to compete in the majors.
