Hawthorn legend Jason Dunstall is puzzled as to why Jordan De Goey’s guilty plea to rough conduct may’ve played a part in the Collingwood star avoiding a longer ban.
De Goey fronted the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night and the Pies were granted their wish of a three-match ban, rather than the four-match ban proposed by the league.
Key to Collingwood’s case was the remorse of De Goey, who gave evidence expressing his regret at the time and after the incident.
