West Coast midfielder Greg Clark has described his teammates’ lack of support for first-year midfielder Elijah Hewett, as well as the delayed response to niggle Jordan De Goey after the Collingwood star’s bump, as “embarrassing”.
It comes as Eagles teammate Dom Sheed suggested De Goey deserved at least a month on the sidelines that seems destined to be sent directly to the AFL Tribunal.
De Goey laid a high bump on Hewett late in the first quarter of the Magpies’ 63-point win over West Coast in Perth on Saturday.
