Former Hawthorn welfare manager Jason Burt has revealed one of the families involved in the club’s racism saga aren’t Indigenous Australians while hitting out at the handling of the ordeal.
It came after the AFL wrapped up the eight-plus month long investigation into the matter this week, with Burt and fellow ex-Hawks officials Alastair Clarkson and Chris Fagan exonerated and league boss Gillon McLachlan saying they had no case answer for the “imperfect resolution.”
Despite this, lawyer Leon Zwier, who’s representing the six families involved in the allegations of racism, will take their complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission.
