A gang of men reportedly “threatened to shoot” Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles and his younger brother after they were caught up in a violent brawl in the city centre.
Lascelles was on a night out with his 19-year-old brother and a friend after Newcastle boss Eddie Howe had given the squad a few days off in the wake of their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.
However, the Daily Mail reports the night very quickly took a turn for the worse when Lascelles’ brother was elbowed in the throat after leaving a nightclub in an unprovoked attack.
The report then claims a bottle of vodka was flung in the direction of the Newcastle skipper but it narrowly missed his head.
A group of “six to eight men” then allegedly went for Lascelles where he was “punched from all angles.”
