The West Coast Eagles have received interest from multiple clubs looking to acquire their prized second-round pick in the AFL draft. Despite this interest, the Eagles seem more inclined to hold onto the pick. The first round of the draft took place on Monday, with the rest set to occur on Tuesday night.
In the first round, the Eagles selected Harley Reid from the Bendigo Pioneers with their first pick. However, they missed out on Daniel Curtin in the top 10 after the Adelaide Crows obtained the Giants’ first pick and selected Claremont key defender. St Kilda then selected Lance Collard, an Eagles Next Generation Academy graduate, while Carlton drafted Ashton Moir from Glenelg with the last pick of the round.
The draft continues on Tuesday night, with the Eagles fielding interest in their second round pick from other clubs. The team will have to weigh their options and make a decision about whether to keep or trade the pick.
