Central Coast midfielder Josh Nisbet is refusing to get drawn into speculation about a potential Socceroos call-up, despite his sparkling form for the Mariners in the A-League Men.
Nisbet has been in fine touch this season, topping the competition for chances created (36) and registering six assists this campaign.
The 24-year-old was named player of the month for January as a reward for his influential role in the Mariners’ climb up to second on the ALM table.
But Nisbet, who is aiming to extend the club’s unbeaten streak to 13 games against Sydney FC at home on Saturday, is loathed to talk himself up.
“It think it just coincides with the team’s performance, we’re all doing well,” Nisbet said, when asked about the praise his form has been receiving.
