The manager and brother of a teenage soccer star who went on a drug and alcohol-fuelled crime spree plans to leave the country if released from prison.
Kuol Mawien Kuol, 26, faced Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday having been found guilty of a series of offences including fraud, drug trafficking and possession.
The brother of Socceroos star Garang Kuol, 19, has been remanded in custody since June 29, 2023, after he spent almost a year on the run when he skipped bail.
His spree started by defrauding NAB customers – including a 95-year-old WWII veteran – of over $121,000 while working as a teller at a branch in Shepparton.
