Clubs queue to snatch Socceroos understudy Glover from Boro – FTBL

Well positioned to be Mat Ryan’s heir apparent with the Socceroos, Glover, 26, has made 20 appearances in all competitions since moving from Melbourne City to the north east of England , following in the footsteps of fellow Aussie keepers Mark Schwarzer and Brad Jones at the Championship club.

It was only a fractured finger that opened the door six weeks back for Senegalese international Seny Dieng to reclaim the top spot after Glover had emerged as coach Michael Carrick’s first choice.

And even then Glover – willing to train and play through the pain – has remained as an active understudy, though surgery is on the cards in the near future to fix the problem.
