Overnight social media sensation Deven Robertson has offered take his famous torn guernsey to auction for a charity close to a teammate’s heart.
Robertson’s Instagram following ballooned from just shy of 11,000 followers to more than 70,000 after he played topless for several minutes in the Lions’ round 23 clash against Collingwood when his guernsey was ripped from his torso in a tackle.
The 22-year-old’s jumper will be auctioned off at Brisbane’s hall of fame dinner on Wednesday night, with the proceeds to be donated to the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Robertson’s teammate Jarrod Berry has been raising money and awareness for the BCNA’s cause after he lost his mother, Jedda, to breast cancer in July 2013.
