India off-spinner R Ashwin said the touring side will not take Australia lightly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series, scheduled to get underway from November 22 in Perth, despite their recent success Down Under. India have not lost a Test series to Australia since 2013-14 and have beaten Australia in Australia in their last two trips – 2018-19, 2020-21. Ashwin said India will make it a point to compete hard, but will not be complacent because of their previous success.
Speaking to Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan in the latest episode of Club Prairie Fire podcast, R Ashwin also opened up about the scheduling of the Test series, saying Australia are getting it underway in Perth to make the start difficult for the tourists.
