It came on the opening day of their second Test against Sri Lanka as hosts Bangladesh were forced to endure a nightmare day in the field after losing the toss.
Sri Lanka finished the day at 314-4 and in total control as Bangladesh failed to break down the top order.
Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam was bowling to Kusal Mendis during the day, with Sri Lanka 1/151. Mendis stepped down the pitch and firmly blocked a ball into the offside before Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto roared at slip, believing it was an LBW chance.
