Australia has withdrawn opener David Warner from the Twenty20 series against India after his impressive performance at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Warner was the leading scorer for Australia with 535 runs at an average of 48.63 during their successful World Cup campaign. Cricket Australia stated that Warner’s return home was due to the demanding nature of the World Cup. In his place, emerging Western Australian all-rounder Aaron Hardie has been included in the squad after making his ODI and T20 International debuts during the tournament.
