Pat Cummins soaked up the sun on Sydney’s Bronte beach as the Australia star continues his recovery from a wrist injury that has kept him out of the upcoming white ball series against South Africa.

Cummins, 30, copped the injury during the fiercely-contested Ashes series in England. Australia walked away with the urn after a 2-2 draw but injuries to Cummins, Steve Smith and Nathan Lyon has left the squad depleted.

Australia return to the shortest format of international cricket on Wednesday, with three players handed their debut for the T20 game against the South Africans in Durban, but Cummins will have to watch on from afar back home.
