ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst claims the Philadelphia 76ers “have not shown an appetite” to bring back James Harden on a max contract if he elects to become an unrestricted free agent.
Harden has a player option to run it back with the Sixers, but recent reports indicate he is increasingly likely to op out of it and test the free agency market.

Rumours have been rife of a return to the Houston Rockets, where the 33-year-old previously spent nine years.
However, Windhorst speculated it could all be a leverage play to squeeze some more dollars from the Sixers.
But the ESPN insider believes the Sixers aren’t exactly keen on paying Harden the big bucks.
