The Detroit Pistons recently went winless for an entire month of the NBA season, becoming the first team to do so in eight years. Despite their 16th consecutive loss to the New York Knicks, coach Monty Williams and his young team saw the performance as a step in the right direction. Williams was encouraged by the fight and resiliency displayed by his team and believes they can build on this game. The Pistons now have a record of 2-17, the worst in the NBA, and are the first team since the 2015-16 Philadelphia 76ers to go winless for a full calendar month. Williams stated that he is not into moral victories and does not see the point in them.
