The Dallas Mavericks have taken Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105.
Superstar duo Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks, with the former flipping the script on his usual slow starts to the playoffs this year, scoring 24 of his 30 points in the first half.
Doncic, meanwhile, had 14 points in the fourth quarter, finishing on 33 to go with six rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
It was the first time the Mavericks had won Game 1 in a playoffs series under coach Jason Kidd and, crucially, also came on the road.
