Kevin Durant is heading to the Phoenix Suns and the NBA world has celebrated by piling on Aussie Ben Simmons.
Simmons has been much maligned and endeared himself to no one in the NBA world after his ugly exit from the Philadelphia 76ers and seemingly failing to improve from his first season in the league.

Despite being on a supermax deal he signed in Philadelphia and taking a reported $US35.4m ($A50.8m) home this season, Simmons has played 38 games this season, averaging career lows in points at 7.2 per game, rebounds (6.4) and assists (6.4).
In his career, he averages 14.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists.
