Utah State Women’s Tennis Announces 2022 Recruiting Class

LOGAN, Utah — Utah State women’s tennis head coach Sean McInerney has announced USU’s 2022 recruiting class of four athletes. The Aggies will welcome three transfers and one freshman in advance of the upcoming 2022 fall tournament season.

Monique Burton (Sydney, Australia) joins USU as a graduate transfer via Southern Miss. Playing at the top three positions of singles play, Burton logged an 8-5 record during the 2021 dual match season while posting a 9-6 mark at the top spot of doubles play. Across four years for the Golden Eagles, Burton compiled a career record of 24-10 in singles play and 29-15 in doubles play. She also was named a finalist for the 2022 NCAA Women of the Year award.
