The fog that appeared in Oregon on day one was back on day two and delayed the start of the second round of strokeplay by two and a half hours, with Young teeing it up on Bandon Trails after signing for a 66 on day one at Bandon Dunes.
Guan was also out on the Trails course of the hugely popular golf destination, having recorded a one-over-par round on the first day.
Starting on the 10th, Young got off to an interesting start with a double bogey at the par-4 11th followed by a birdie at the par-3 next. Two bogeys saw him make the turn in three over before a more settled second nine with two birdies saw the Royal Melbourne member sign for a two-over 73 and a share of 11th.
