Two-time North Melbourne premiership player David King has once again called on the game to do more to combat head trauma, saying Tom Stewart’s brutal bump on Dion Prestia serves as a watershed moment for the league.
Stewart was on Sunday referred directly to the AFL Tribunal for his bump on Prestia, which left the Richmond star concussed and in a worrying state as he was assisted from the ground by trainers.
Speaking on Fox Footy’s First Crack, King said too much focus in the time since has been on the welfare of Stewart rather than the long-term implications on Prestia’s health.
