On a night where Medvedev’s frustrations boiled over and cost him any shot of beating the nine-time Melbourne Park champion, he began his speech with a story about Djokovic’s kindness.
“I first practised with Novak when I was like (ranked) 500, 600 in the world in Monaco,” the Russian said.
