Aussie Marc Leishman has been tipped as a golden chance to break his major drought this weekend because he’ll thrive in the brutal, windy conditions forecast for the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island.
An eight-strong Australian contingent will line up for the year’s second major, starting on Thursday night (AEST), and former pro Paul Gow believes they’ll have a considerable edge on the many American stars in the field.
“The weather forecast this week, Thursday 21km/hr, that wind coming off the ocean, it will be incredible,” Gow said on the Big Sports Breakfast on Thursday.
“… It helps all of (the Aussies). We grow up in the wind here, we really do, and the Americans not so much.
