Australian football legend and Aboriginal advocate Eddie Betts issued a heartfelt call to arms on Tuesday night for the entire AFL community to help stamp out racism within the game.
His comments came in response to the game’s latest racism scandal, this time involving his former Adelaide Crows teammate Taylor Walker.
Walker was suspended for six games and may never play for the club again after directing a racial slur at North Adelaide player Robbie Young.

On Tuesday night, Betts appeared on AFL 360. He became emotional and started crying as he spoke about his constant fight to eradicate racism from the AFL and from society.
