The Western Bulldogs have coughed up their worst opening quarter in a decade, in a horror start to a match where their 2022 season went on the line.

The Dogs looked “all at sea” as Sydney opened with five straight goals, and seven of the first nine, to open up a shocking 37-point lead at the first change.
