Disgraced former Saint Sam Fisher reportedly met with club officials a decade ago to discuss his drug problem and ask for help.
According to Mark Robinson, Fisher’s plea for help came back in 2012 – at a time when a source told News Corp the club “feared” the star defender’s lifestyle issues.
“He opened up about his challenges and that was when the doctor was brought in,” a source told NewsCorp.

“From that point, everything was through the doctor and that gave him some level of support.
“And he worked with Sam over a quite a period of time.’’
Fisher made national headlines this week when he was arrested and charged with trafficking drugs interstate. If found guilty, he faces a lengthy stint behind bars, where he currently sits.
