The Proteas are still coming to Australia, but they have pulled the pin on their three-match ODI series in January. But it’s not all bad news, with Australia’s stars set to feature in the BBL.
South Africa had been scheduled to play three matches in mid-January — Hobart (Jan 12), Sydney (Jan 14) and Perth (Jan 17) — but asked Cricket Australia to find alternative dates for the matches because it clashed with their new T20 competition.
They will still play three Tests against Australia, including the Boxing Day Test and New Year’s Test.
But in the jam-packed schedule, CA wasn’t able to find appropriate dates and the series has been shelved.
