The Socceroos revealed a striking centenary jersey on Thursday with the shirt selling out within hours.
A combination of fan demand and a shortage of initial stock seemed to result in the abrupt shortfall of jerseys.
Football Australia quickly added additional stock but this was sold out soon too with a pre-order for future stock set to be made available on Friday.
The shirt in question is a throwback to the kit worn by the Australian men’s football team back in 1922 when they played New Zealand.
Unlike current Socceroos jerseys, there is no green and gold in sight with the shirt instead sky blue with a white collar.
The full kit also had touches of maroon on the socks to ensure it included the colours of both NSW and Queensland.
